Reported Al-Qaida plot targets N.Y., washington

Information gleened from an Al-Qaida senior official states that Al-Qaida is planning to detonate a vehicle-borne bomb in Washington or New York City around Sunday's 10th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks. The Pentagon believes this report to be especially to due to the fact that Osama Bin Laden had been fixiated on attacking the United States again sometime on September 11. NY authorities plan on reinforcing patrols throughout the city, and using bomb sniffing dogs over the weekend.
